European Elections – Nominations for London England – Official List
So the day has finally come and the Nominations for the 2014 EU Elections in the London, England are published. The first thought I have is “surprise”, as just like in 2009 there are many parties standing in London England on 22 May 2014, 17 Parties this time around, where as in 2014 there was a combined total of 19 Parties and Individual Candidates. This time around only 8 of these 17 Political parties will get any significant media coverage, that means that 9 parties in London, England have simply thrown away £5,000, as without media coverage it is almost impossible to save a deposit let alone get elected as an MEP, you need at least 8% to stand any chance of being elected on a list of 8.
Anyway here is a brief analysis of the runners and riders who you can vote for on Thursday 22 May 2014.
4 Freedoms Party So we start off with the only party in England that has eclipsed “An Independence from Europe Party” from the top of the Ballot Paper – so alas Mike Natrass will NOT be able to say “find us at the top of the Ballot Paper” (next time Mike go for the “1 Independence form Europe Party” name 🙂 ) … Any way, 4 Freedom Party use a meaningless Ballot Paper description of “Europe’s Leading City Europe’s Leading Party” Apparently the party has been set up by “A group of pro-Europe British Conservatives who decided to launch a new party to stand in the upcoming European elections as an alternative to David Cameron’s Conservatives, and Nigel Farage’s Eurosceptic UK Independence Party (UKIP)” .. no doubt these were the mentally handicapped variety of Tories ? … No Web Site, No Media Coverage, No Sensible Name, No hope – £5,000 down the drain guys ? – They are only standing in London, probably these guys could not read a map to get them any further than Lewisham.
An Independence from Europe Party coming in at No 2 on the London Ballot Paper – The “Mike Natrass (former UKIP) ‘sulk’ party” which appears to only exist to take some votes away from UKIP, his former party. Running under the Name and description “An Independence from Europe – UK Independence Now”. A very similar ploy as the 2009 “UK First” political party, that stood in 3 Regions of England and gained circa 2.3% – mainly by taking confused UKIP voters away from UKIP – looks like Mike Natrass is trying to do the same thing to UKIP in 2014 and to give him credit he has made a much better job of it then UK First did in 2009. It also proves that the governance role of the Electoral Commission in elections, is something that they simply can’t handle !
Animal Welfare Party – In 2009 they stood under their old party name of “Animals Count”, and did very badly then. This time around they are again only standing in London, and have changed their name and Ballot Paper Slogan to Animal Welfare Party – For People, Animals and the Environment – sound all very fluffy and nice. No doubt they wish to be nice to Animals and nice to people including Muslims ? I am a bit confused as I looked around their web site and they don’t seem to be doing anything about Muslims being nasty to animals – in paricular “This is Halal video link” …… until these types of people address this terrible and unnecessary cruelty to Animals it is difficult to take them seriously. I could not see anything on their web site about this.
British National Party Running under the 2014 Ballot Paper Slogan of British National Party – “Because we can make Britain better”. The question that immediately comes to mind is “how” can the BNP make Britain Better ? especially when UKIP appears to have captured the vast majority of British Nationalist voters, and Nick Griffin is personally bankrupt. If he can’t run his own personal finances, what chance would Nick Griffin have of running a Country ? Also where did the BNP get £55,000 to stand across Great Britain – very strange indeed.
Christian Peoples Alliance In 2009 the “Christians” stood in all 11 regions across Great Britain, this qualified them for a Party Political in Wales, Scotland and England. This time around they are only standing in 3 regions, and so will not qualify for any media coverage. – obviously “Christian” is well known brand, but it is doubtful that they will maintain their vote this time around.
Communities United Party Only standing in London, the Communities United Party, is NOT the political wing of a Multi-Cultural Football Team. They have not used a Ballot Paper Slogan, a fatal mistake, as they are relying on the meaningless three words “Communities United Party” and have wasted a further six – they are a new party, are based in East London. So that’s a meaningless party name and now they alienate, North, West and South London …….. sorry guys you are not doing too well. What they about, well they want to make the world a better place – don’t we all. Eagle on the Web Site – that’s a bit American guys, don’t you understand English Culture…. I guess not … No Media Coverage, No Sensible Name, No hope – £5,000 down the drain guys ?
Conservative Party Running under the 2014 Ballot Paper Slogan of Conservative Party “For real change in Europe”. As there has been on “real change”for the past 4 years under a Conservative led government it is difficult to understand what the Conservative & Unionist party have in mind ? Many Conservatives would probably believe that the best “Real Change” in the Conservative party would be to stand up for England and the English for once and elect a sensible leader like David Davis who of course supports the creation of an English Parliament.
English Democrats Running under the tried and trusted slogan in London “English Democrats – Putting England First !” – the great news for English Nationalism was the 2011 Census, where 60% of people in England (in the comfort of their own home) when asked by the census, identified themselves as “English Only” as their Nationality, a further 10% identified themselves as “English/British” 20% identified as “British” and the remaining 10% were all sorts. This clearly shows that as devolution for Scotland, Wales and Ireland has kicked in, English Identity has increased and British Identity has decreased. Many, many people complain that they cannot identify themselves as English on “Government” forms. Coupled with the Scottish Independence debate and the change in English Democrats lead policy from “English Parliament” to “English Independence” the 2014 EU Elections present an interesting opportunity for the English Democrats – will the public use the opportunity to express their English identity ?
Europeans Party Whey Hey, will here’s an interesting one, I thought that Nick Clegg had told everyone that the Liberal Democrats were the “European Party” – but the problem is Nick you told everyone in English, that the Liberal Democrats were party of “in” – what you needed to do is to say the same message in the 25+ languages of the European Union, I understand you personally speak 5 or so, and your Spanish wife must help ……… anyway, these people were so frustrated that you did not personally speak to them, that they formed their own Party – “Europeans Party – Modern United Europeans” – sounds almost like another Football Team. Apparently according to their Facebook page, which is in English, the party was “Established as a consequence of the wave of negative reactions in the UK, which have been taken to the extreme against European Union Countries & Citizens” ………. so their you go if you want the whole of England over run by Europeans you can vote for the European Party instead of the Liberal Democrats ! (but only in London)
Green Party The Green Party of England & Wales, does not have a Ballot Paper slogan, however it is interesting that the Green Party of England & Wales with it’s Australian Leader is the only option on the ballot paper, apart form the English Democrats that supports Scottish Independence. So if you wish to vote for a “left leaning” party supporting Scottish Independence in the London then the Greens are the only choice for you, naturally if you have a common sense view to politics then the English Democrats is your option.
Harmony Party Running under the Slogan – Zero Immigration, Anti-EU, Pro-Jobs, this party’s founder could be a supporter of several of the Nationalist parties on the ballot paper, however it is difficult to find out any information about the party as there is no web site, although this party is standing in 3 Regions in England. The creator of the party is a man called Terry Leach, who at the Agents briefing explained that he was not “on-line” and had never done anything in politics before, but had come into some money, and it would seem he wants to blow his money on an election ! – Anyway, no web site, no media coverage – however the name “Harmony” to me brings hair spray immediately to mind, maybe hairdressers will be voting for Harmony, or even Barber Shop Quartets ?
Labour Party What can I say about Labour …. the only Labour MP, that I have any respect for is Frank Field … if you vote Labour, then you are supporting Ed Miliband … so think very carefully.
Liberal Democrats Liberal Democrats in London, England have decided to used their name as a Ballot Paper Slogan meaning that the Ballot Paper will read “Liberal Democrats – Liberal Democrats” just as a double warning NOT to vote for the Liberal Democrats unless you totally agree with the European Union project, and loss of all identities, English and even British – but why not vote for the European Party if you feel this way ?
National Health Action Party It’s a bit of a gimmick this party. They are only standing in London. “National Health Action Party – Patients not Profits” – the fact that the Country can’t afford a bottomless NHS, when the population appears to be increasing exponentially due to Mass Immigration, appears to have escaped these people. No Media Coverage, No Sensible Name, No hope – £5,000 down the drain guys ? £5,000 you could have donated to the NHS ?
National Liberal Party – True Liberalism Only standing in London, we have the party of a guy called Graham Wiliamson. Now Graham is an English Partriot and he used to run a party called the Third Way. He is the sought of English Nationalist, who is embarrassed to use the word “English” in case he is accused of being a racist. He gave up on the party he created called “The Third Way”, because it got no traction, possibly if he had called in “The English Third Way” then maybe it would have done so. His latest venture “National Liberal Party” he more often then not shortens to the initals N.L.P., as if anyone know what that means. If he called his party the English Liberal Party, then he may get more success or better still, simply join the English Democrats. Anyway, his cunning plan for London, was to campaign for “Self Determination for all Nations/peoples” including the English. In this way he cannot possible be called a racists, and once he has sorted out the whole world then we English get Independence as well. Seems to me a very long way of getting English Independence. I believe the public would better understand if Graham simply said he was campaigning for English Independence just like the English Democrats. Anyway his party name has already got a slogan in it, so the Ballot paper ends up as “National Liberal Party – True Liberalism – National Liberal Party – Self-determination for all!” now that must be the longest name + slogan in the UK – so that must be worth a prize ? but alas very few votes I would predict. No Media Coverage, No Sensible Name, No hope – £5,000 down the drain guys ?
No2EU No to EU is the Bob Crow (diseased) Union Anti-EU party, in 2009 they stood in 11 Regions in Great Britain out of 11, this time around they have not covered England, and so will get very little coverage, however the name is quite good, so they will no doubt take votes from UKIP.
UK Independence Party (UKIP) Running under the Ballot Paper slogan London England of UK Independence Party (UKIP) you end up on the Ballot Paper with UK Independence Party (UKIP) – UK Independence Party (UKIP), a bit like the song New York, New York, no doubt (so good you named it twice) – or was that just an admin cock-up ? Nigel will be cross again . For British Nationalists the UKIP “train” for the 2014 EU Elections appears to be unstoppable at the time of writing. UKIP is of course a British Nationalist Party, and has no time for “England” or the “English”, preferring “Britain” and the “British”. – By the 22 May 2014 there is some hope that the people of England will have had so much of “Nigel Farage” that they will simply want to vote for something else – hopefully that something else will be English.
To conclude there are now only 8 Political Parties standing in every constituency across England – these parties have taken the EU Elections seriously
1/ An Independence from Europe – UK Independence Now (Mike Natrass I’m cross with UKIP)
2/ British National Party – Because we can make Britain better
3/ Conservative Party – For real change in Europe
4/ English Democrats – Putting England First ! & I’m English, NOT British, NOT EUropean !
5/ Green Party
6/ Labour Party
7/ Liberal Democrats
8/ UK Independence Party (UKIP)
I hope you find my opinion of use or at least entertaining, please look at each of the Party’s web sites for further details
